James Edward Petrick, 68, residing in Sandusky, passed away early Tuesday morning, June 2, 2015 at Stein Hospice Care Center after a lengthy illness.

Jim was born on February 26, 1947 in Sandusky, OH to the late John and Mary (Obergefell) Petrick.

Jim graduated in 1965 from St. Mary's High School. He was employed at the former New Departure for the over 30 years before he retired in 1998. Jim was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church where he was involved in many different activities. He was active in scouting, enjoyed coaching and working with the youth. In his spare time, he enjoyed camping, gardening, being outdoors, fixing things up, computers and spending time with his family and friends.

Jim is survived by his wife of 46 years, Bernadette "Bee Ann" (Erne) Petrick. He is also survived by his children, Shelli (Mike) Perdue, Brian (Brandy) Petrick and Pam (Bob) Auger; grandchildren, Seth, Jude, Mason, Kennedy, Lincoln, Garrett, Victoria, Cassy, Jay Robert and Jayden; sisters, Joanne Cross, Judith (Greg) Moses and Sr. Mary Tina Petrick; brothers Gary (Carolyn) and Dennis (Sue) Petrick and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to his parents, Jim is preceded in death by his daughter, Sheri Petrick.

Friends may call on Thursday, June 4, 2015 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Friends may also call Friday morning, June 5th from 9:00 am until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 429 Central Ave., Sandusky. Burial will be held at a later date in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky, OH.
