Mary Matz, age 101, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2015 at The Willows at Bellevue.
She was born Dec. 11, 1913 in Delaware, OH the daughter of the late George F. and Virginia (Zerman) Wetzel.
Mary was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, cleaning, and gardening. She was also a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Bellevue.
Survivors include her son, Edmund D. (Nancy) Matz Jr. of Bellevue, daughters, Judy DeWitt of Bellevue, Barbara (William) Marquardt of Castalia; grandchildren: Edmund (Kate) Matz III, Catherine (Shawn) Leber, Jeff Cox, David (Kim) Cox, Tonya (Steve) Schaffer, Tamara (Jude) Mariea, Tina Turner, Todd (Amy) Dewitt, Thomas (Natalie) Dewitt, Troy Dewitt, Great-grandchildren, Monica (Brandon) Wosotowsky, Kyle, Janece, Austin, Chloe, Carmen, Logan, Lauren, Morgan, Dylan, Shelby, Tristan, Lindsey, Amber, Sydney, Kendall, and Jordyn; and great-great grandchildren, Kaisyn Schaffer and Philomena Wosotowsky
In addition to her parents, and husband, Edmund Matz Sr., she is preceded in death by brothers, George and Bill Wetzel, a sister Marjorie Dick, and grandson-in-law, Chris Turner.
Friends will be received Tuesday, June 9, 2015 from 10:00 am until the funeral services begins at 11:00 am at St. John's Lutheran Church, 209 Southwest St., Bellevue. Burial will follow at Flat Rock Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church.
