Lawrence G. Kluding, age 88, of Norwalk, died peacefully Sunday evening, October 31, 2010 at Gaymont Nursing Center in Norwalk.
He was born March 3, 1922 in Norwalk and was a graduate of Monroeville High School. He worked many years at the Milan Game Farm, Lang Implement, and was the best mechanic at Downtown Dodge and Don Tester Ford. He was a former member of the Norwalk Eagles and member of the Knights of Columbus Council 626. He enjoyed traveling and wintering in Winterhaven, FL and Clearwater, FL. He also enjoyed fishing, camping, bar-b-queuing, flowers, plants and gardening.
He is survived by his children, Ruth (Oscar) Villalon of Sandusky, Kathy (Darrell) Braden of Collins, Janice (Rex) Peters of Fort Wayne, IN, Sue (Gary) McBride of Mentor, and Bill (Judy) Kluding of Cummings, GA; 11 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Agnes (Lindenberger) Kluding in 1991; brother, Richard Kluding; and parents, Louis and Ida (Fries) Kluding.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 5 - 8 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 10:30 A.M. at St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 E. Main Street, Norwalk. The Rev. Frank Kehres, pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.
