Marilyn Ann Longnecker, 92, of Norwalk and formerly of Castalia, died peacefully in her sleep Sunday, June 21, 2015, in the sure and certain hope of resurrection to eternal life.

She was born Nov. 10, 1922, in Port Clinton to Fred and Hannah Nobis, graduating from Port Clinton High School.

She worked at Philco, Hills, Rockwell Springs Trout Club, and several restaurants. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Sandusky; Philco Plus Ten Club; and the Agape Circle of Zion Church Women.

Marilyn is survived by one son Dale (Ann) Cerny; two daughters Linda Cerny Wadsworth, and Mary Hofacker; seven grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; two nieces and a nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 30 years, Harold (Bud) Longnecker; an infant daughter; an infant sister; one brother Donald Nobis; one grandson; and one great grandson.

Friends may call from 4-7 PM Friday, June 26, 2015, in the Ransom Funeral and Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia, and from 9:00 AM until time of services at 10:00 AM Saturday, June 27, 2015, at Zion Lutheran Church, 503 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. The Rev. Ralph Schibler will officiate, and burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park.
