William Mira Sr., age 81, of Bellevue passed away Thursday, June 25, 2015 at St. Luke's Hospital in Maumee.
He was the New Year's baby born January 3, 1934 in Messina, Sicily the son of James and Josephine (Farago) Mira.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, and the Eagles Aerie 490. Bill cherished his time with his family whether it was cooking for them or watching his grandchildren's activities. He also loved playing cards with family and friends.
He is survived by his two sons, William (Cindy) Mira Jr. of Bellevue, and Ben (Michelle) Mira of Bellevue; Three daughters, Gina (Ted) Wnorowski of Bellevue, Cyndi (Tom) Goodsite of Bellevue, and Dena (Bruce) Henney of Bellevue; 16 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; Two brothers, Tony Mira of Sicily, and Sam Mira of Huron; a brother in law, Joe Deblase of Bellevue; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Theresa Deblase; and grandson, Casey Walters.
Friends will be received on Sunday, June 28, 2015 from 2-8 p.m. at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue where the Rosary will be recited at 1:30 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, 231 E. Center St., Bellevue.
