Alvin F. Spencer, 86, Sandusky, and formerly of Clyde, died Friday, June 27, 2015, in Firelands Regional Medical Center.
He was born on March 9, 1929 in Rice, OH, to the late Emory and Agnes (Schaffer) Spencer.
He was employed by Barr Rubber, Philco, G.W. Sugar, and Hex Hardware, both in Fremont.
He is survived by his children, Rose Thompson, Bluffton, IN, Holly Shaw, Lindsey, OH, Violet Erwin, Georgia, Judy Labine, Delta, OH, William Spencer, Sandusky, and Andrew Spencer, Bellevue, OH; several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; and brothers, Larry Spencer, Oregon, OH, and Dwight "Butch" Spencer, Portland, OR.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Ann (Stevens) Spencer; parents; and brothers, Richard and Norman.
Friends may call on Wednesday, July 1, 2015, from 3 P.M. until time of memorial services at 4 P.M. in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky.
