Ruth M. Heishman, age 92, of Crystal Rock, died Monday, June 29, 2015, in Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, following a lengthy illness.
She was born Sept. 8, 1922, in Sandusky, and was a 1941 graduate of Sandusky High School.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, and the sewing circle of the church. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, and quilting.
Ruth is survived by her daughter Pam "Kenneth" Roeser of Ft. Walton Beach, FL.; two sons Walter "Pat" Heishman of N. Lawrence, OH, and Dennis Heishman of Crystal Rock; 2 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; sister Eleanor "Bean" Gowitzka of Clyde; brother John Newman of Castalia; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Franklin Walter Heishman in 1996; her parents Jay and Mildred (Hemmer) Newman; grandson Walter R. Heishman; 5 sisters and 2 brothers.
Friends may call from 10:00 AM Thursday, July 2, 2015, until time of services at 12 Noon, in the Ransom Funeral and Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia. The Rev. Philip Gardner will officiate and burial will be in Parkhurst Cemetery.
