Betty Jayne (Ridenour-Miller) Burson, age 86, of Bellevue passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at The Willows at Bellevue.
She was born December 11, 1928 in Willshire, OH the daughter of Aaron and Dovie Ridenour.
She was raised by John William and Martha Edna (Font) Miller after the passing of Dovie Ridenour.
Betty graduated in 1946 from Oakwood High School. She then went on to study medical technology and medical secretarial skills. In 1950, she married Dr. Paul E. Burson. In 1956 they moved to Bellevue, Ohio where she lived for the next 65 years.
Betty was an active member of First United Methodist Church for over 50 years. She loved cooking for her family and friends. She also enjoyed gardening, fishing, boating and playing the piano. She was also a proud member of Sorosis Women's Club.
Betty is survived by her three children: John (Sue) Burson of Napoleon, Janice Schrickel of Castalia, and James Burson of Milan; and Five grandchildren: Mandy, Elizabeth, Benjamin, Jared and Travis.
In addition to her parents, and husband she is preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.
Friends will be received on Friday, July 3, 2015 from 1 p.m. until a funeral service begins at 3 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 901 Northwest St., Bellevue, Ohio 44811. Private Burial will take place at Bellevue Cemetery. Foos and Foos Funeral Service, Bellevue is in care of arrangements.
