Cathleen Manuella, 93, of Sandusky passed away Friday morning, July 3, 2015 in the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky following a brief illness.
She was born on June 11, 1922 in Sandusky and retired from the Mills Creek Golf Course.
Prior to that she had worked at the former Mr. Wiggs and the Philco Corp. She was member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Sandusky and her hobbies included playing cards, cross-stitching, baking and making Christmas stockings for the grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons, Randy M. (Mary) Manuella and Timothy J. (Vicky) Manuella, both of Sandusky; six granddaughters, Maria (Tom) Knopp, Lisa (Brian) Smith, Kristina (Todd) Downing, Amy (Jason) Williams, Michelle (Jason) Stenger and Heather (Burt) Jarrett; twelve great grandchildren, Brandon Smith, Chelsea Smith, Jacob Williams, Makaela Williams, Camryn Stenger, Jaxson Stenger, Tyler Downing, Sydney Downing, Mia Downing, Zachary Downing, Michael Jarrett and Natalie Jarrett; one sister, Ruth Nemitz of Sandusky, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael J. Manuella in 1992; one son in infancy; her parents, John and Nora (Ryan) Blade; one brother, Paul Blade and one daughter-in-law Rose Manuella.
Friends may call Wednesday, July 8, 2015 from 4-7:00 PM at the Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. A prayer service will be held at 9:30 AM, Thursday, July 9, 2015 in the funeral home followed by A Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. Fr. Matt Frisbee will officiate. Burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky.
