Michael "Mike" Kevin Waddington

Michael "Mike" Kevin Waddington, 61, of Bradenton, Florida, formerly of Sandusky, passed away quietly in his sleep on Saturday morning, June 20, 2015, after a courageous battle with Pick's disease.

He was born on March 30, 1954 in Sandusky, and graduated from Sandusky High School in 1972.

He earned an Associate's Degree in Architectural Engineering from ITT Tech in Toledo. Mike worked as a welder at Milan Steel, a fabrication foreman at Shortrun, and became a manufacturing engineer at Stein Inc., where he worked for 24 years. He then moved to Florida where he worked as a groundskeeper for area school until he became ill.

Mike enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, relaxing on the beaches in Florida, and spending time with family and friends. He loved the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians, Ohio State and was a NASCAR fan.

Mike is survived by his wife of 15 years, Margie (Sidoti) Waddington; daughters, Michelle (Tim) Bahnsen, Melissa Waddington, Brittany Waddington, Brook (Rick) Gardner; sons, Josh (Venus) Davlin, Jacob (Julie) Davlin, and Justin Davlin; brothers, David (Ann) Waddington, Donald "Ponch" (Sherrie) Waddington; sister, Laura (Badredine) Idrissi-Mojib; grandchildren, Kyleigh, Nathan, Ryder, Keagan, Carissa, Lawson, Zen, Sage, and Luke; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald O. Waddington; mother, Mary (Garlock) Waddington Walker; stepfather, Robert B. Walker; brother, Charlie "Chuck" Waddington; and daughter, Carrie Faith Waddington, in infancy.

Friends may call from 4 PM until time of memorial services at 6 P.M. on Friday July 10, 2015 in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. A celebration of Mike's life will follow at the American Legion Shelter (back) immediately following the service for family and friends.
