Nancy A. (Scheid) Spitler, 82, of Sandusky, passed away early Monday morning, July 6, 2015 in The Meadows at Osborn Park.
She was born on August 23, 1932 in Sandusky to the late Commodore, Sr. and Frances (Gardner) Scheid.
She graduated from Sandusky High School in 1950, and worked at home. Nancy was extremely involved in the former Calvary Episcopal Church and the Church Women United of Northwest Ohio. She was a current member of Grace Episcopal Church, and was absolutely devoted to her family.
Nancy is survived by her son, Steve (Laura) Spitler; daughter, Sheree Spitler; grandchildren, Brian and Anissa; brother, Commodore Scheid, Jr.; step-grandchildren; step-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Spitler, in 2012.
A funeral service will be at 11 A.M. on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Grace Episcopal Church, 315 Wayne St., Sandusky. Rev. Jan Smith-Wood will officiate. Entombment will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
