Stephan Brown, 53 of Sandusky, Ohio departed this life on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky, following a lengthy illness.
He was born on January 19, 1962 in Sandusky, and was a 1980 graduate of Sandusky High School.
Stephan accepted Christ at an early age and rededicated his life at Mt. Zion C.O.G.I.C. in the summer of 2002. He worked several jobs, AQS, Whirlpool, Arthur Corporation, and Clay Products. A member of the United States Marine Corps, where he received a medal for marksmanship and an honorable discharge. He attended and graduated from Diesel Mechanics school in Columbus, Ohio. He was also ordained as a minister August 21, 2001.
Stephan loved LIFE. He had an enduring love for his family. Although he had no children of his own he had a special love for all children, especially those in his family. He enjoyed cooking, listening to music and singing. He often wrote his own songs and poetry, several of which have been published. He also had a love for the outdoors and fishing.
Stephan always gave advice and encouraging words. He often quoted scripture and would often say, "I know I don't always live by it but it is a part of me, I know God has me covered."
Stephan leaves to cherish his memory, his mother Lois (Lemons) Brown of Sandusky; sisters, Vanessa (L.W.) Jordan and Sherri Shine, both of Sandusky and Melanie Brown of Columbus, Ohio; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews and special friend and companion Terri Price.
He was preceded in death by his father George Brown and Sisters Deidra Brown and Laurie Coleman.
Friends may call on Friday, July 10, 2015 from 10 A.M. until time of funeral services at 12 P.M. Noon in Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1215 Pierce St., Sandusky. Rev. Kerry Robinson will officiate. Burial will be in Perkins Cemetery.
