Faye Brummitt, 71, of Castalia, died Saturday. April 23, 2001, in Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, after a short illness.
She was born April 5, 1940, in Clintwood, VA, daughter of Florence and Cecil O'Quinn. She was a1958 graduate of Ervington High School, Nora, VA, and was a retired employee of the Castalia Banking Co.
Faye was an avid outdoorswoman, loved to travel the world, camp, and watch the Indians play baseball. She also liked spending winters in Florida and attended the First Baptist Church in Fort Meade, FL.
She is survived by her husband Bob; two sons Bryan and Eric Brummitt; one sister Ruth Blankenship of Melvindale, MI; one brother C J O'Quinn of Bay View, OH; several grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son Keith Brummitt on August 6, 1997.
Friends may call from 3:00 pm Tuesday, April 26, until time of services at 7:00 pm in the Ransom Funeral Home, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia. The Rev. Ray Richardson will officiate. Burial services for the family will be held Wednesday.
