Veronica (Kozak) Hemchak, 90, of Milan, passed away Wednesday afternoon, July 15, 2015 at Stein Hospice Care Center after a brief illness.
Veronica was born on January 14, 1925 in Windsor Locks, CT to the late John and Julia Kozak.
Veronica employed at the former New Departure in Bristol, CT and Sandusky for a total of 13 years. Veronica was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Milan. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, gardening, playing bingo at the nursing home and spending time with her family.
Veronica is survived by her daughter, Julie L. Roberts of Sandusky, sons, Robert (Connie) Hemchak of Lagrange, OH and Richard (Nancy) Hemchak of Huron; one grandson, Carl (Brook) Walton; four step-grandchildren, Bryan and Stephen Thom, Eric and Keith Dickens; many other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Veronica is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Walter J. Hemchak and her brother, Walter J. Kozak.
At Veronica's request, funeral services will be private. Entombment will take place in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
