Barbara "Barb" J. Spitler, 64, surrounded by her loved ones she received her angel wings on July 26, 2015 after a series of complications at St. Vincent's Mercy Medical Center in Toledo.
Barb was born September 1, 1950 in Bellevue the daughter of George and Nancy Neuman Sr.
She was a 1969 graduate of Bellevue Senior High School. On June 19, 1976 she married Leonard Spitler in Bellevue. She was formally employed at Hueter Toledo and McDonalds in Bellevue.
Barb was an avid dog lover, they as well as her angelfish were more like her children than pets. She enjoyed spending time with her family, children, grandchildren and friends. She especially enjoyed sitting on the front porch visiting with her closest friends, Jean and Butch Hartman and her loving sister, Sharon Soles.
She is survived by her father, George Neuman Sr. of Bellevue, three sisters, Linda (Tom) Kutz, Cheryl (Paul) Daniels, Sharon Soles, all of Bellevue; One brother, George (MaryJane) Neuman Jr. of Bellevue; Two sons, Patrick (Rebecca Franks) McGrady of Sandusky, Randal (Danya) McGrady of Bellevue; Two daughters, Terra (David Tyree) Spitler and Tanya (Sherri Chill) Spitler, both of Bellevue; Three "special" daughters, Kerry Faste of MN, Karen Raycher of Norwalk, and Heather Waters of Bellevue; Twelve grandchildren: Paige, Arian, Legion, Legend, Mitchell, Joseph, Kasie, Devin, Tristen, Ashlynn, Mathew and Jacob; Two great grandchildren, Kaydence and Amelia; Four "special" grandchildren, Karma, Travis, Bailey and Jaylee; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard; Mother, Nancy (Gross) Neuman; brother-in-law, Ray Soles; Niece, Tammie (Boo) Lemmon; grandson, Braxton McGrady; and dear friend, Karen Crockett.
Friends will be received on Thursday, July 30, 2015 from 4 p.m. until a funeral service begins at 7 p.m. at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue.
