Marcia Sue Kuns Rollheiser, 67, of Castalia passed away Tuesday afternoon, April 26, 2011, in Firelands Regional Medical Center, Main Campus, after a courageous heartfelt battle with cancer. The Lord lost a special person that day. She lived her life with such passion and love of life. She leaves behind generations of family filled with love, hugs, respect, and laughter.
Marcia was born July 18, 1943, to Ruth Minier and was blessed to have a wonderful stepdad Charles "Chas" Minier. She spent her youth sharing special moments with her brother Lee "Buzz" Geiger (wife Pat and their children Barry (Julie) and Cindy Geiger.
In 1962, she married James Kuns and brought to this world the loves of her life, Denise Lynne and Christopher Lee. Through them she found the most joy of all in her 5 grandchildren Kyle, Kurtis, Rockelle Kuns and Conner and Brianne Christman, and an endless list of extended children who thought of her as their own "special" grandma.
Marcia graduated from Margaretta High School in 1961, and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. She had recently retired from Providence/ Firelands Regional Medical Center after 32 years of heartfelt service, and was awarded the "Beacon of Light" honor for all her years of devoted service to the hospital
Friends may call from 4 - 8 PM Thursday, April 28, 2011, in Ransom Funeral Home, 610 S. Washington Street, Castalia, and from 9:00 am Friday until time of services at 10:00 am in Grace Lutheran Church, 203 S. Washington, Castalia. The Rev. Kathleen Suggitt will officiate. Burial will be in Castalia Cemetery.
