Nancy K. Meuschke, of Lakeside-Marblehead, OH, died Thursday morning, July 30, 2015, in St. Vincent Charity Hospital, Toledo.
She was born in Columbus, OH, was a graduate of Capital University, and taught school at Margaretta in Castalia.
She was very active in various Lutheran Churches, as a community volunteer, and as a pastor's wife. Nancy will be dearly missed by her family and numerous friends.
Nancy is survived by her children Rev. Dane (Kris) Meuschke of Stryker, OH, Darrell Meuschke of Louisville, KY., and Danielle (James) Montgomery of East Aurora, NY; 5 grandchildren Aime (Rich) Seward, Arin (Luke) Streng, Nathanael Meuschke, Nick and Joe Montgomery; 3 great grandchildren Myranda, Kirra and Silas Streng; sister Marcia Scherocman of Westerville, OH; a niece, nephew, 3 great nephews, and a great niece. Nancy and Pastor Kurt were foster parents to more than 20 children.
She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Kurt H. Meuschke, who served local churches in Castalia, North Canton, and Graytown; and her parents Corinne and William Hoare.
Friends may call from 3-6 PM Sunday, Aug. 2, 2015, in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 541 Church Road, Lakeside-Marblehead, OH, where services will be held at 10:30 AM Monday, Aug. 2, 2015. The Rev. Christine Young will officiate. A luncheon will be served immediately following the funeral in the fellowship hall of the church. Private burial will follow in Castalia Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, 117 Stone St., Marblehead, OH, or to one's favorite charity.
