Dorothy A. Miller, age 96, of Norwalk, died Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at Gaymont Nursing Center after a brief illness.
She was born February 9, 1914 in Brackenridge, Pennsylvania to the late Constantine and Augusta (Seth) Rieger. She worked at the former Mary Lee Candy, Fanny Farmers, Montgomery Ward, and was an office clerk at Norwalk Truck Line and a bookkeeper at Linwood Automotive in Norwalk. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and enjoyed sewing, reading, and crossword puzzles. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandson.
She is survived by her children, Shirley (and the late Wayne) Schlessman of Milan; Robert (Dottie) Factor of New Jersey, and Francine Lorcher of Milan; grandchildren, Sandi Schlessman, Brian Schlessman, Terri Riley, Mark Schlessman, Bob Nagucki, Jason Lorcher, Eryn Lorcher, Brad Factor and Ryan Factor; 18 great-grandchildren and great-great grandson, Brayden.
She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Francis J. Factor in 1965 and 2nd husband, Trellis D. Miller in 1986; sisters, Agnes Hohman and Alice McKrell.
There will be no visitation and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment will be held at St. Paul Cemetery in Norwalk.
