Betty L. (Sweet) Winslow, 83, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2015 in Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, Ohio.
She was born March 24, 1932 in Norwalk, Ohio, to the late Myron and Ellen E. (O'Dell) Sweet, and was a lifelong area resident.
She was a member of the Monroeville United Church of Christ, Monroeville, Ohio, and supported the Monroeville High School Athletic Boosters Club. Betty enjoyed attending her children and grandchildren's sporting events, playing bingo, crossword puzzles, bowling, and was an avid sports fan.
She is survived by her children, Susan McDermitt, of Marion, Ohio, Richard (Susan) Winslow, of Troy, Michigan, Karen (Steve) Reer, of Norwalk, Ohio, Tim (Diane) Winslow, of Willard, Ohio, and Jeff (Jennifer) Winslow, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio. Betty is also survived by her grandchildren, Krista Appeman, Zac Reer, Ty Reer, Katy Wrabel, Bryan Winslow, Nick Winslow, Nate Winslow, Noah Winslow, and Carin Nardecchia, by her brother, Mike Sweet, of Monroeville, Ohio, by 9 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard C. "Dick" Winslow in 2008, by her brothers, Charles (Chuck) Sweet, and Don Sweet, and, by her grandson, Joshua Reer.
Friends may call on Sunday, August 16, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 W. Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio, where funeral services will be held on Monday, August 17, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Dr. Wayne Chasney will officiate. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Monroeville, Ohio.
