Anita Rose Vizyak, 92, wife of Anthony "Tony", residing in Monroeville, passed away Thursday afternoon, August 13, 2015 at Stein Hospice Care Center after a brief illness.
Anita was born on November 30, 1922 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Matija and Rose Marie Skender.
In her early years she was an account manager at Gimbel's Service in South Hills, PA. This is where she met Tony and moved to this area in 1976. Tony was a partner at Great Lakes Tires Sandusky and she worked beside him there. Anita was also a volunteer for the American Red Cross for many years.
Anita is survived by her husband of 45 years, Tony Vizyak. She is also survived by her daughters, Anita (Richard) Miklovic of Utah, Curtania Roper of Colorado, Teresa Kindlin of New Jersey and Helen (Michael) Wilson of Idaho; son, Joseph (Maggie) Mroczkowski of Howard, OH; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Anita is preceded in death by her brother, Chedo Skender.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes and Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky with Deacon Jeffrey Claar presiding.
