Wilson M. "Pokey" Jenkins III, 43, of Sandusky, passed away early Monday morning, August 24, 2015 at Elmwood Healthcare Center at The Springs after a brief illness.
Wilson was born on May 19, 1972 in Sandusky, OH to Wilson and Caroline (Gibson) Jenkins Jr.
He worked set-up at KBI for over 10 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on his Camaro and spending time with his family. Pokey will always be remembered for his jokes and great sense of humor.
In addition to his parents, Wilson is survived by his children, Kaitlyn, Collin and Caleb Jenkins; sister, Pamela (Clyde) Jenkins Swander; uncles, Dave, Bobby, Gerry and Scott Gibson, Bob Nickester and Joe Jenkins; nephews, C.J. and Dylan Swander and numerous other relatives.
Wilson is preceded in death by his grandparents, Jack and Eva Gibson, Wilson Jenkins Sr., Thomas and Marion Sommerville and uncle, Paul Gibson.
Friends may call on Sunday, August 30, 2015 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 31, 2015 at 11:00 am in the funeral home with Pastor Robert Nickester presiding. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
