Michael J. Nutter, 57, of Bellevue, lost his courageous battle Sunday evening, Aug. 30, at Heritage Healthcare Center in Clyde after a lengthy illness.
He was born Sept. 3, 1957 in Gassaway, West Virginia, to Elizabeth (Triplett) Nutter- Young and the late Gordon Vale Nutter.
Michael graduated from Bellevue High School. He was a maintenance man by trade and worked in several area factories including Faulhabers in Monroeville, Industrial Powder Coatings in Norwalk and Quebecor in Oberlin. He also served in the National Guard for 8 years. He resided in Norwalk almost 30 years before returning to Bellevue. He enjoyed computers, science fiction movies and spending time with his granddaughters.
Michael is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Young of Bellevue, his children, Jennifer Teifke of Clyde, Eric Nutter of Norwalk and Sara Muehling of Waldo; granddaughters Ashley, Hanna, Abagail, Dinah and Selena; brothers: James (Lisa) Young of Republic; Don (Gela) Nutter of Spring Hill, Florida; sister Johnna Young, Norwalk and stepsister, Margaret Young, Fremont, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his stepfather, John Young; a sister, Kimberly Dawn Nutter; and a stepbrother, Robert Young.
Friends will be received Saturday, Sep. 5, from 1:00 pm until the funeral service begins at 2:00 pm at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, 4997 County Road 183, Clyde, OH 43410
