Frances Gail Mischler, 67, of Sandusky, passed away Tuesday afternoon, September 1, 2015 at Stein Hospice Care Center following a lengthy illness.
She was born February 27, 1948 in Sandusky, Ohio to the late John and Annabelle (Gonya) Yost.
Frances was a former member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking, baking, bird watching, painting, going to garage sales, collecting antiques, and spending time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren.
Frances is survived by her high school sweetheart and loving husband of 47 years, Louis Mischler, whom she married March 30, 1968; son, Jason Mischler of Sandusky; two daughters, Mindy (David) Ryan of Lutz, FL, and Jessica (David) Murphy of Sandusky; two grandchildren, Owen and Cooper Murphy; three sisters, Margaret (Terry) Robinette, Betsy (Nyle) Olds and Linda Brindle; and several nieces, nephews and other family members.
Including her parents, Frances is preceded in death by her siblings, Johnny, David, Coonie and Barbara Yost.
Friends may call Thursday, September 3, 2015 from 4-7 PM at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky, Ohio 44870. Funeral Services will be held Friday, September 4, 2015 at 10:30 AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery.
