Charles W. "Chaz" Stibi

Charles W. "Chaz" Stibil, 72, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away Monday, August 31, 2015, in Fisher Titus Medical Center, surrounded by his family.

He was born October 20, 1942 in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Joseph C. and Mary (Oblak) Stibil, and came to this area in 1972 from Sheffield Lake, Ohio.

Chaz attended St. Paul Catholic Church. He was a former member of the Sheffield Lake Jaycee's, and was a current member of the Bellevue Stamp Club. Chaz was a former egg salesman, and marketer, for Landmark Foods, and was a former employee of Hillandale Foods, Pepsi, and Pick-n-Pay. He enjoyed wine, and conducted numerous Wine classes at local wineries so other people could enjoy different types of Wine.

Chaz was an avid stamp collector, and conducted classes at local elementary schools regarding stamp collecting for kids. He also enjoyed golf, gardening, the Cleveland Browns, woodworking, carving and collecting pipes, restoring antique cars and trucks, and traveling, especially to Slovenia. Chaz enjoyed mentoring kids, and his grandkids, and especially enjoyed spending time with his family. He was proud to have been the first donor to the Huron County Humane Society Dog Park.

He is survived by his wife, Maureen C. (Sullivan) Stibil of Norwalk, Ohio, by his daughter, Laura Mack, by his granddaughters, Tara & Wayne Babington, and Sydney & Brian Schlessman, and by his sister, Sharon & Bill Brello.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Stibil in 2015, by his infant son, Jodi, and by his infant brother, Gary.

Friends may call on Friday, September 4, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 East Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Msgr. Kenneth Morman will officiate.
