Christina Marie (Goss) Stevenson, 45, of Sandusky, passed away unexpectedly early Saturday morning, September 5, 2015.
She was born on October 14, 1969 in Port Clinton. Christy is the daughter of Dan E. Goss and Mary Carstensen Goss Keller. She is a 1988 graduate of Port Clinton High School.
Christy found the love of her life, Herbert Dale Stevenson, and was married in 1997. They have two children, Shelby Taylor Whiting and Martin Arthur Stevenson. Christy was a homemaker, worked in retail, and was an employee of the Census Bureau. She was a wonderful mother and enjoyed being a grandmother to her first born grandchild, Zaiden A. Yocom, the center of her world. Christy enjoyed gardening, took pride in her flowers, and crafting. She also loved animals.
Christy is survived by her husband, Dale Stevenson; parents, Dan Goss and Mary (Arthur) Keller; daughter, Shelby Whiting; son, Martin Stevenson; sisters, Danielle Reiner and Susan Wadsworth Lawrence; step-children, Sherry, Dana, and Rene; grandchildren, Zaiden Yocom and Gabrielle; uncle, Larry Carstensen; other loving aunts, uncles, and cousins; and special friends, David, Raymond, Drew, Vanessa, Lisa, and Donna.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Harry and Lula Goss and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Pete Carstensen; uncle, Donald Rider; aunts, Sharon Zerbo and Carol Carstensen; cousins, Martin Carstensen, Tami, Timothy, Tracy, and Gregory; and loving Godmother, Sandy Halstead.
Cremation will take place. Memorial services will be held on Friday, September 11, 2015 at 11 A.M. at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 2370 N.E. Catawba Rd., Port Clinton. Pastor Kurt W. Borows, Jr. will officiate. Immediately following services, Christina will be laid to rest in Catawba Island Cemetery, N.E. Cemetery Rd.
Memorial contributions may be made in Christy's name to Sandusky City EMS or to Resurrection Lutheran Church.
