Robert P. Davis, 90, of Huron, Ohio, and formerly of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away Friday, September 11, 2015 in the New Life Hospice, Lorain, Ohio.
He was born June 15, 1925 in Monroeville, Ohio, to the late Wesley A. and Ruth B. (Wiley) Davis. Bob was a member of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, Norwalk, Ohio, and Eagles Aerie #711, Norwalk, Ohio. He retired in 1990 from Certain Teed in Avery, Ohio. Bob enjoyed his small farm that he owned in Hartland for 40 years, camping, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife Mary Ellen "Betty" (Myers) Davis, whom he married March 2, 1943, by his daughters, Marilyn Hope (Michael) Heffelfinger of Edon, Ohio, and Sandra Faith (Richard) O'Dell of Huron, Ohio, by 2 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. Bob is also survived by his sister, Laura Jean Brown of Monroeville, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Richard Paul Davis in 1945, Everett Wesley Davis in 1947, and Robert Paul Davis Jr. in 1967, and by his sisters, Annabelle Miller, and Evelyn Koch.
Friends may call on Monday, September 14, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Rev. Ann Marshall, Pastor of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, Norwalk, Ohio, will officiate. Inurnment will be in Milan Cemetery at a later date .
