Marietta Mazza, 73, of Sandusky passed away Thursday evening, September 24, 2015 in the Concord Care Center, Sandusky following a lengthy illness.
She was born July 18, 1942 in Sandusky and was employed for twenty four years at the former Ponderosa Steak House Restaurant in Sandusky.
She enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren, taking walks and her coffee.
She is survived by one son, Mark (Jay) Mazza; one daughter, Debbie (Bob) McCarthy, both of Sandusky; two grandchildren, Sarah and Robby Wolf both of Sandusky; one great grandson, Kyle McCarthy of Sandusky; two sisters, Karen (Robert) Vaughan and Kathy Johnson both of Sandusky; four brothers, Robert (Shirley) Eckert of Norwalk, Larry (Leona) Eckert of Huron, Gordon Eckert and William Eckert, both of Sandusky; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, W. William Mazza; her parents, Lewis and Mary Jane (Barnum) Eckert; one sister, Sandra Thomas; one brother, Tom Eckert.
At the request of the deceased, cremation has taken place.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 from 2:00 PM until time of Memorial Service at 4:00 PM in the Normandy Room at the American Legion Hall, 3615 Hayes Avenue, Sandusky. Pastor Wally Gilbert will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be made to Stein Hospice Service, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky.
