Jane Dorothy (Hartman) Hotchkiss, 99, passed away on October 8, 2015 at Portland Place.
She was born on May 31, 1916 in Sandusky, Ohio to Luella (Rittman) and Carl Hartman.
She married James Vincent Hotchkiss on October 18, 1943 and they were married for 53 years before Jim passed away in 1996.
Jane graduated from Sandusky High School in 1934 and was a member of the SHS Alumni Association. After graduation she started working in the Erie County Auditor's Office retiring in 1982. Jane was a lifelong member of Grace Episcopal Church, the ECW, the Providence Volunteer Association and a former member of the Women's Civic Club.
Jane is survived by her two daughters, Anne Fosco of Sandusky and Emily (Robb) Hauck of Georgia; grandchildren, Beth (Joe) Ciardullo, Jeff (Joni) Hauck, Kelly (Brian) Wicker and Katie (Mike) Poeschl and great-grandchildren Madeline, Charlie, Ella, Cameron, Addison, Paige, Dylan, Brody and Marley. Her sister, Lois Sharrah of Sandusky, also survives as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister, Ruth Sletz, her brother, Paul Hartman and her son-in-law, Steve Fosco.
At Jane's request there will be no visitation. A private family service will take place on Monday, October 12, 2015. A memorial service will take place at a later date.

The family would like to thank Portland Place for the love and kindness shown to Jane.
Mom, Grandma, GG and Jane will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She lived a great 99 years! We love you to the moon and back.
