Theresa Ann Elmlinger

Theresa Ann Elmlinger passed away on Monday, October 12, 2015 at The Willows, Bellevue, OH.

She was born on July 26, 1934 to the late Henry and Gertrude (Hosman) Schoen in Reed Township. On August 28, 1954, she married the late John Edward Elmlinger at Reed Assumption Catholic Church, who preceded her in death in 1983.

Prior to retirement, she was a long-time employee of the former Faulhaber Company in Monroeville, Ohio. She was a member of St. Gaspar del Bufalo Catholic Church in rural Bellevue and a long-time member of the former St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Bismark. She was a member of the St. Gaspar Altar Rosary Society and member of the Monroeville Sch-Loe-Man American Legion Auxiliary. Mrs. Elmlinger enjoyed playing euchre with her card playing friends, a Cleveland sports fan and she especially enjoyed cooking dinner every Sunday evening for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons, John Allen (Donna) Elmlinger and Ronald Elmlinger, both from Monroeville, Ohio and daughters, Mrs. Marilyn (Gerard) Steinmetz of Republic, Ohio and Mrs. Donna (Arnold) Depinet of Tiffin, Ohio. Her grandchildren include Marie Elmlinger, Katherine Elmlinger, John Arthur (Megan) Elmlinger, Christina Steinmetz, John Steinmetz, Melissa Steinmetz, Nicole (Jeremy) Lawrence, Lori (Chris) Dannemiller, Lisa Depinet, Brian Depinet, and Matthew (Addison) Elmlinger. Her great-grandchildren include Eli Steinmetz, John James (JJ) Elmlinger, Emma Lawrence and soon-to-be great-grandson Baby Dannemiller. She is also survived by one sister, Agnes Holmer, of Tiffin, Ohio; brother-in-law's, Leon Miller of Republic, Ohio and Norbert Holmer of Tiffin, Ohio; sister-in-law's, Mary Ann Schoen of Bellevue Ohio and Mildred Elmlinger of Willard, Ohio; former sister-in-law Audrey Hart of King City, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Leo, Urban, Joseph, Sylvester, Earl and Henry Schoen; sisters, Edith Swope, Rosemary Holmer, Mildred Holmer and Sister Mary Edith Schoen.

Friends will be received at the Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue, OH on Friday, October 16, 2015 from 4-8PM with the Rosary be recited at 3:30PM. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October, 17, 2015 at 10:30AM at St. Gaspar Del Bufalo Catholic Church, 16209 E. Seneca CR 46, Bellevue, OH. Burial will follow at St. Sebastian Catholic Cemetery.
