W.C. Holbrook, a great husband, loving father and grandfather was called to heaven to be with Jesus on Sunday, October 11, 2015 at the Firelands Regional Medical Center.
He was born January 27, 1940 in Salyersville, KY the son of Zebedee and Hattie (Vance) Holbrook.
W.C. worked at the former Johnson Furnace and also Norfolk and Southern Railroad for 32 years, retiring in 2002. He enjoyed coon hunting, 4-wheeling, cutting grass, and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Ella V. (Rowe) Holbrook, whom he married July 1, 1961 in Norwalk, Ohio; two sons: Clive (Lori) Holbrook, of Bellevue, and their children: Connor and Jordan Holbrook; Chris (Michele) Holbrook, of New London, and their children: Joshua Holbrook, John Holbrook and Joseph Holbrook; one daughter, Paula (Charles)Bailey, of Salyersville, KY, and their children: Jacob (Ivanna) Chiow of Lakeland, FL, Brittany (Robert) Cantrell, and their children, Briella and Kaylee Cantrell of Salyersville, KY; One brother, Jerry Holbrook of Bellevue; Two Sisters, Beatrice (Orlando, Sr.) Artino of Bellevue and Wayvone Spraggins of Indiana.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Landon and Lance Holbrook; two sisters: Mary Lou Trimmer and Myrtle Barnett.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue. A funeral service officiated by Rev. Rusty Yost will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Wayside Temple, 3809 Maple Ave., Castalia, OH 44824. Burial will follow at Sandhill Cemetery.
