Charles H. "Chuck" Horning II, 54, of Collins, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2015 in Aultman Hospital, Orville, Ohio.
He was born January 16, 1961 in Norwalk, Ohio, and was a lifelong area resident.
He was a truck driver for R & L Carriers, and was a former employee of I.P.C. Chuck was a Captain of the Townsend Twp. Fire Department, and was a former volunteer driver for Citizens Ambulance Service. He enjoyed tinkering, mechanic work, and was a little league baseball, and Pee Wee Basketball coach. Chuck especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Sylvia (Hanna) Horning, of Collins, Ohio, by his sons, Michael T. (Karen) Horning, of Avon, Ohio, Christopher C. Horning, of Rocky River, Ohio, Shawn J. Horning, of Collins, Ohio, by 2 grandchildren, Andrew and Ryan, and by his mother, Arlene J. (Conrady) Horning, of Norwalk, Ohio. Chuck is also survived by his siblings, Gloria Conrady, Shirley (Earl) Jenkins, of Norwalk, Ohio, Brenda (David) Kinnard, of Milan, Ohio, John Horning, of Akron, Ohio, Danny (Cindy) Horning, of Norwalk, Ohio, Christine (Reed) Wheeler, of Cleveland, Ohio, and Steven (Karla) Horning, of Port Clinton, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his father Charles H. Horning.
Friends may call on Friday, October 16, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main St., Norwalk, Ohio. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in Norwalk First United Methodist Church, 60 West Main St., Norwalk, Ohio. Mr. Rich Forman will officiate. Burial will follow in Collins Cemetery.
