Thelma Clinton, 81, of Sandusky, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 14, 2015, in Stein Hospice Care Center.
She was born in Laurel, MS on May 13, 1934, to the late Willie and Charity (Love) Simmons, Sr.
She was employed by the Sandusky Board of Education, Plum Brook Country Club, and Universal Electric.
She loved the Cleveland Indians, bingo, and cooking.
Thelma is survived by her children, Linda McKinley of Columbus, OH, Patricia Warren, Marlene (Lyndon) Wright, Angela Clinton, Ervin (Mary) Clinton, and Richard Clinton all of Sandusky; daughter-in-law, Andrea Clinton, Sandusky; twenty two grandchildren; forty six great-grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Charity Simmons and Velma Jones, both of Erie, PA, her little dog, Buffy; and several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie D. Clinton, Sr.; parents; son, Willie Clinton Jr.; three grandchildren; sisters, Blossie Simmons, Earnestine Glover, and Willie Mae Grant; and brothers, George Simmons and Willie Simmons, Jr.
Friends may call on Thursday, October 22, 2015, from 10 A.M. until time of funeral services at 12 P.M. noon in Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1215 Pierce St., Sandusky. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
