Kenneth H. Lippert, Sr., age 88, of Sandusky, died Saturday night, Oct. 17, 2015, in Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky.
He was born August 12, 1927, in Margaretta Township, and was a 1946 graduate of Margaretta High School.
He was a 42 year employee of Norfolk Southern Railroad, retiring in 1987. He was a life time member of the Eagles.
He is survived by his wife Lucille Martens Lippert; one son John ( Debra) Lippert of Sandusky; 3 step daughters Patricia Edgington of Deltona, FL, Cathy (David) Wobser of Sandusky, and Laura (Phillip) Brewer of Winter Springs, FL; 2 step sons Michael (Dayle) Alderman of Sandusky and Jeffrey (Molly) Alderman both of Castalia; 3 grandchildren; 6 step grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 6 step-grandchildren; brother Wayne (Audrey) Lippert of Sandusky; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Johnnie F. Lippert in 1977; daughter Sandra Lippert; son Kenneth H. Lippert, Jr.; parents William and Minnie (Gurtz) Lippert; sister Irma Neill; and 2 brothers William and Arden Lippert.
There will be no visitation or services, and cremation will take place. Ransom Funeral and Cremation Service in Castalia is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to Perkins Fire Department, 3003 Campbell Street, Sandusky, or to one's favorite charity.
