John A. Dann, 75, of North Fairfield, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday evening, October 17, 2015, at his son's farm.
He was born July 10, 1940, at home, in Centerburg, Ohio, to the late Donald and Dolly Dann.
John was employed at Deeble's Sohio Gas Station, Rotary Printing, and retired after 18 years from Norwalk Furniture. John loved fishing, gardening and being outdoors. He loved his six grandchildren, especially watching them in all of their school functions.
John is survived by his loving wife, Betty (McFarlin) Dann, celebrating 53 years of marriage on October 13th; by his sons, Bryan (Brenda Eck) Dann, Mark (Judith Blackmore) Dann; 6 grandchildren; Rachel, Emma, Katie, Josiah, Sara & Grace Dann. He is also survived by his sister, Loretta (John) Fry Steedley, by his sisters-in-laws, Linda (Kevin) McFarlin Wilhelm, and Mary Gene (Ron) Simpson, and numerous nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Don & Dolly Dann, by his mother and father in-law, Kent & Gene McFarlin, and by his brothers-in-law, John, Michael, and Larry McFarlin.
In celebration of John's life, calling hours will be Tuesday, October 20,2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.in the United Methodist Church of North Fairfield, and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service, Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in United Methodist Church of North Fairfield, 105 W. Main St., North Fairfield, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the American Heart Association. Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio is in charge of arrangements.
