Mary JoAnn (Shoup) Burroughs, 82, of Clyde, passed away Monday, October 26, 2015 at The Bellevue Hospital.
She was born December 13, 1932 in Clyde, the daughter of the late, Donald and Grace (Dick) Shoup.
She married George W. Burroughs on July 5, 1950 at the Clyde Christian Church; He preceded her in death in April 2008.
Mary was a homemaker, and also volunteered at the Share and Care in Fremont for many years. She loved spending time in Key Largo and fishing. She also enjoyed cooking, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, going on cruises, and her sister "Weenie".
She is survived by her three sons: Steve (Becky) Burroughs of Bellevue, Randall (Robin) Burroughs of Findlay, and Michael (Lou Ann) Burroughs of Fremont; 10 grandchildren: Troy Burroughs, Tracy Burroughs, Wesley Burroughs, Sadie Rogers, Phil Burroughs, Brandy Ivy, Mindy Elam, Misty McKeever, Justin Sutter and Mick Burroughs; 27 great grandchildren; sisters: Carrie "Ween" (Don) White of Clyde, Susan (Bob) Major of Marblehead, Sharon (Bob) Fry of Clyde, Christine (Stan) Holmes of Clyde;
In addition to her parents and husband, Mary is preceded in death by a son, David Burroughs, great grandson, Justin Sutter Jr., an her beloved Kitty Peeka.
Friends will be received on Thursday, October 29, 2015 from 10 a.m. until a funeral service begins at 1 p.m. at Foos Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson Highway, Clyde. Burial will follow at Bakertown Cemetery.
