Richard W. Wilson

Richard W. Wilson, 73, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2015 in Fisher Titus Medical Center, Norwalk, Ohio.

He was born May 22, 1942 to the late Willard C. and Evelyn M. (Bischoff) Wilson in Lorain, Ohio.

Richard then moved to the area in 1972, where he remained a local resident. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served during peacetime. Richard retired from Tenneco, Milan, Ohio, in 2003 after serving 33 years of service. He donated 20 years to the boy scouts, troop 208, and enjoyed flying model planes, going to museums, history, and traveling.

Richard is survived by his loving wife, Leslie L. (Errington) Wilson, of Milan, Ohio, by his daughter, Ida J. (Dwayne) Hall, of Wakeman, Ohio, by his son, Charles L. (DiAnna) Wilson, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, by his sisters, Karen (Arnold) Cowger, of Lorain, Ohio, Delores McAllister, of Weirton, West Virginia, Arna (Mohammed) Safar, of Lorain, Ohio, and by his brother, Gary Wilson, of Lorain, Ohio.

He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jessica Dietrich, of Wellington, Ohio, Aaron Wilson, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Megan Hall, of Wakeman, Ohio, Brandon Wilson, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Dwayne Hall Jr., of Wakeman, Ohio, and by his great-grandchildren, Michael Dietrich, and Farrah Wilson.

Friends may call on Friday, October 30, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 W. Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2015 in the funeral home, Rev Dr. Paul Lamb of First Baptist Church, Norwalk, Ohio, will officiate. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery following the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Thomas Edison Birthplace Museum, 9 N. Edison Dr. Milan, Ohio, or the National Museum of the Air Force, 1100 Spaatz Street, Dayton, Ohio 45431.
