Betty Lou Rollison Gowdy, 69, of Sandusky, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2015, in Stein Hospice Care Center, after a lengthy illness.
She was born on July 9, 1946 in Sandusky, to the late Louie Leroy and Eunice (Rice) Rollison. She was a 1964 graduate of Perkins High School.
Betty Lou was self employed, using her passionate skills as a barber, owning Topline Barbershop for over 50 years.
She was a long time member of New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 18 years, Douglas Gowdy; daughters, Tara Rollison and Morna (Tommy) Thompson, both of Columbus, OH; grandchildren, Tra'e, Aaron, Mia, and Jonathan; brothers, Benjamin Rollison, Sandusky, and Ervin Rollison, Toledo, OH; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Stephan in infancy; brothers, Elroy Rollison and Charles Marshall; nephews, Bernard Rollison and Vincent Rollison.
Friends may call on Sunday, November 9, 2015, from 4-8 P.M. in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Friends may also call on Monday from 11 A.M. until time of funeral services at 12 P.M. Noon in New Jerusalem Baptist Church, 1920 Eddy Henry Way, Sandusky. Rev. Curtis L. Johnson Jr. will officiate. Burial will follow in Perkins Cemetery.
