Donna G. Ott

Donna G. Ott, 72, of Monroeville, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2015, at her residence.

She was born September 27, 1943 in Oberlin, Ohio, to the late W. Nels and Dorothy E. (Knott) Lund, and was a lifelong area resident.

Donna graduated from Monroeville High School in 1961, and from Baldwin Wallace College with a Degree in Physical Education in 1965. She was a Phys. Ed teacher at Berlin Milan Public Schools, Monroeville Public Schools, and St. Joseph Elementary Schools. Donna was the Athletic Director of Monroeville Public Schools and retired in 1995. She enjoyed reading, traveling, and especially enjoyed attending, and supporting, her grandchildren's sporting, and school events. Donna was the first girls volleyball coach, coached numerous other sports, and was inducted into the Monroeville High School Hall of Fame in 2015.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Linus W. Ott of Monroeville, Ohio. They enjoyed wintering in Fort Myers, Florida since 1999. She is also survived by her children, Mimi (Paul) Ott of Monroeville, Ohio, Kelly (Mike) Smith of Norwalk, Ohio, and Jason (Kimberly) Ott of Norwalk, Ohio, by 15 grandchildren, by her brother, Thomas (Sue) Lund of Monroeville, Ohio, and by her sister in law, Janet Lund of Niceville, Florida.

Donna was preceded in death by her brother, William Lund.

Friends may call on Saturday, November 7, 2015 from 2:00 p.m.to 6:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Funeral services will be private. Donna has donated her body to the Ohio State University.
