Raymond Simpson, 81, of Sandusky, died Sunday, November 8, 2015, in Providence Care Center.
He was born on November 11, 1933 in Waynesboro, MS, to the late Eddie and Rena (Evans) Simpson.
Raymond was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was employed by Ford Motor Company in Avon Lake as a skilled painter.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Betty; children, Brenda Conway, Sharon Simpson and Martha Simpson all of Detroit, MI; step children, Vaughn Hamilton, Sandusky, and Jerome (Marinette) Hamilton, Columbus, OH; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Etta Mae Fox, Seattle, WA, and Gussie Robinson Waynesboro, MS; half sisters, Mena Simpson, Alberta Simpson, and Marian Simpson all of Mississippi.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Dave Simpson and Raymond Simpson Jr.; and brothers, James Simpson and Willie Simpson.
Friends may call on Friday, November 13, 2015, from 10 A.M. until time of funeral services at 11 A.M. in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Entombment will take place in Oakland Cemetery.
