Rita (Lizzi) Tintinalli, 100, residing in Sandusky, passed away early Tuesday morning, November 17, 2015 at Providence Care Centers after a brief illness.
Rita was born on October 16, 1915 in Udine, Italy to the late Valentino and Olivia (Covassi) Pletti.
Rita was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She retired at 95 from Star Lanes Bowling Alley where she was co-owner with her son. Rita enjoyed being around people and spending time with her family and friends.
Rita is survived by her sons, Larry (Gloria) of Norwalk, Bruno (Judy Medly) of Sandusky and Jerry (Rosemary) Lizzi of Huron; 14 grandchildren, Mark (Patty) Lizzi, Marcia (Mike) Stierhoff, Scott Lizzi, Laurie (Michael) Allen, Tom Lizzi, Julie (Steve) West, John (Tracee) Lizzi, Jeff (Cathy) Lizzi, Andrea Lizzi, Beth (Joe) Johnson, Jenna Lizzi and Jared Lizzi; 17 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great grandchildren; step-children, Jeannette LaRou and Leonard Tintinalli; sister, Derna Dezardo of Sault Ste. Marie, Canada and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Rita is preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Lizzi; second husband, John Tintinalli; granddaughter, Amy Lizzi; grandson, Jason Lizzi and sister, Mary Caillouette.
Friends may call on Friday, November 20, 2015 at 10:00 am until the time of the funeral services at 12:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky.
