James W. Brock Sr., 68, passed away in his home on Thursday, December 3, 2015.
He was born to the late John Bill and Fannie (Miller) Buchanan in Knox County, Kentucky.
James lived in the area until his retirement from the Ford Motor Company in 1998 when he and his wife Margie moved to Freeport, Ohio. He enjoyed hunting, target shooting, farming, raising chickens, riding horses, and spending time with his family and his grandchildren. James was a 30 year member of the UAW, Lorain, Ohio, and will be missed by friends and family.
He is survived by his children, James W. Brock Jr. (Joan Eldridge), of Olena, Ohio, Michelle Reed, of Bellevue, Ohio, and Brett (Cindy) Brock, of Norwalk, Ohio. James is also survived by his brothers, Fred (Norma) Buchanan, of Lorain, Ohio, Bill David (Jane) Buchanan, of Vermilion, Ohio, Paul Buchanan, of Ashland, Ohio, Daniel Buchanan, of Corbin, Kentucky, Joseph (Mona) Buchanan, of Lorain, Ohio, by his sisters, Kathy Buchanan, of Sandusky, Ohio, Grace (Randy) Dodge, of Amherst, Ohio, Jewel (Gary) Jones, of Lorain, Ohio, by 12 grandchildren, and 2 great grandsons, and by several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his brother Roger Buchanan.
Friends may call on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 W. Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio 44857. Services will be held on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at Mount Harvest Church of God, 150 State Route 113 W., Milan, Ohio 44846, Reverend Carl Woodyard will officiate. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Norwalk, Ohio.
