Doris G. Crabtree, 86, Sandusky, died on Wednesday, May 18, 2011, in the Stein Hospice Care Center.
She was born on November 6, 1924 in Oak Hill, OH.
Doris was employed by the former Barr Rubber, Duff’s Smorgasbord, and Radio Inn.
She loved to play pool and was a member of several pool leagues, including the Miss Ques for over 40 years. She was an avid bingo player and loved to crochet.
Doris is survived by her children, Lloyd (Inge) Crabtree, Milan, OH, Paula Farrell, Sandusky, OH, Deborah (Jack) Gordon, Clarksville, NH, Brenda (Richard) Packman, Yucca, AZ, Billie Jo (Richard) Harvey, Mansfield, OH, Mary Lou (Mark) Davie, Huron, OH, Michael (Kelly) Crabtree, and Troy (Mary) Crabtree, both of Sandusky, OH; twenty-five grandchildren; sixty-nine great-grandchildren; eleven great-great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Jim Lee, California; sister, Betty Kohler, Sandusky; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Crabtree; parents, Hiram and Marie (Clark) Kuhn; daughter, Sue Lee; sisters, Hilda, Almeda, Lucy, and Ethel; brothers, Harvey, Raymond, and George; and six siblings in infancy.
Friends may call on Saturday, May 21, 2011, from 11 A.M. until time of funeral services at 3 P.M. in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Rev. B.R. Hatfield will officiate. Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Stein Hospice Service, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870.
