Donald W. Shrigley, 80, of Sandusky, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2015 in the Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky following a lengthy illness.
He was born December 18, 1934 in Newark, Ohio and was a 1952 graduate of Huron High School.
Don was a U.S. Army veteran during the Korean War. He was employed at the Ford Motor Company, Sandusky Plant until his retirement. Don was a member of the Commodore Denig Post 83, American Legion and the Sandusky Eagles, Aerie 444.
He is survived by one daughter: Diana L. Shrigley of Bellevue, one son: David (Letty) Shrigley of Chula Vista, Ca., four grandchildren: Megan Tobin of Bellevue, Amber, Anthony and Nicholas Shrigley, all of Chula Vista, CA., two great grandchildren: Max and Mia Baker, both of Bellevue, one sister: Bonnie Kellenberger of Washington Court House, Ohio, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Clarence & Thelma (Dutcher) Shrigley, two sisters: Marge Speaks and Betty Calvert, one brother: Billy Shrigley.
Memorial services will be held at a later date with burial to take place in the Ohio Veterans Home Cemetery.
