Patricia H. Dwyre, born March 27, 1931, in Syracuse, NY, passed away peacefully at home in Sandusky OH.
She loved her family very much, including all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Patricia graduated from St. Joseph College as a LPN in 1951. On December 27, 1951, she married James and moved to Covington, VA then Stamford, CT then New Orleans, LA before moving to Sandusky, OH in August of 1975. While raising seven children, she always found time to volunteer. While she had a few years in the ‘60's volunteering in Boy Scouts, she had over 40 years in Girl Scouts running troops for her daughters, being a board member and started and ran a troop in a school for mentally handicapped girls while in New Orleans. She worked on the Erie County Bicentennial Committee and used her LPN skills screening donors for Red Cross blood drives, she maintained her practical nurse license for over 30 years.
Patricia continued her mother's support of DAR by being a member. She was on Women's Republican Committees in both Fairfield County CT and Erie County OH. She volunteered for three ladies at the Providence Care Facility at one time missing only 17 days in 5 years. She supported the arts for years including Harlequins. Patricia volunteered and drove people with medical needs to Cleveland and Toledo through the 1990's logging thousands of miles. Until recently, when she could no longer drive, she spent hours helping residents of, as she called it, the VOA half-way house, regularly providing occupants supplies and rides.
Patricia is survived by sons Michael (Shirley) Dwyre of Lakeland, FL with children Britain (Chris) Riley and Dan Dwyre; Matthew (Paula) Dwyre of Huron, OH with children Amy E., James P. and John C. Dwyre; and, Mark (Billie Jo) Dwyre of Huron, OH with daughter Lizzie (Joey) Schoolcraft and daughters Maggie Dwyre of Sandusky, OH with children Paul Dwyre and Veronica (Buddy) Calderon, and both of their multiple great grandchildren, Monica (James)Dwyre-Wortman of North Oxford Township, MA, Joan (Nick) Routh of Huron, OH with children Shana, Creszens, Elijah, Adam and Alexander.

Schilling of Lincoln, NB, her parents, Newton & Vivian (Conell) Hine of Syracuse, NY, her sister, Nancy H. Whaley of Syracuse, NY, and her brother-in-law, Terrence (Nancy) Dwyre of Schenectady, NY.
Father Peter Reddick will hold Mass at 10 AM on December 28, 2015 at Blessed Sacrament Church, 3127 James St., Syracuse, NY. Interment will follow later in the morning at the Jamesville Cemetery in Jamesville, NY in the family plot next to her beloved husband.
