Virginia Vivian (Vallo) Lynch, 88, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2015 in Norwalk Memorial Home, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born October 10, 1927 in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late John and Anna (Klivarsky) Vallo.
Virginia attended St. Benedict's Catholic School and John Hay High School in Cleveland, Ohio, and was a member of the John Hay High School Class of 1946. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Norwalk, Ohio. Virginia was a former stenographer for the May Company in downtown Cleveland, Ohio, and was also a former employee of Shirks Motor Freight in Cleveland, Ohio, the Carnation Milk Company of Cleveland, Ohio. She was also a former employee of the Alger Trucking Company in Cleveland, Ohio, where she met the love of her life, Robert John Lynch, Sr. whom she married December 17, 1951 in Cleveland. She was a member of A.A.R.P., wrote poetry, enjoyed Cleveland professional sports, playing bingo, and was ever confident playing the lottery. Virginia was a supporter of the Huron County Services for the Aging, and the Huron County Humane Society.
Virginia and Robert raised 7 children, Susan (Bill) Barnett of Monroeville, Ohio, Jeanne (Gary) Kloos of Norwalk, Ohio, John (Patty) Lynch of Greenwich, Ohio, Patrick (Barbara Soski) Lynch of Fremont, Ohio, and Mary Edwards of Huron, Ohio, 13 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren, and by her daughter in law, Ruby "Tina" Lynch of Huron, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert in 2006, by her sons, Robert John Lynch II, and Timothy J. Lynch, by her brothers, James Vallo, and twins, Thomas and John Vallo, Jr., and by 2 grandchildren.
Friends may call on Sunday, January 3, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 4, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Mr. Bill Barnett will officiate. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Norwalk, Ohio.
