Geraldine "Gerry" F. (Kotora) Lehrer, 96, residing in Sandusky, passed away Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Firelands Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.
Gerry was born on January 10, 1919 in Canton, OH to the late Frank and Grace Kotora.
Gerry retired as a secretary from the former Providence Hospital and was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling, quilting, researching genealogy and local history and spending time with her family and friends.
Gerry is survived by four daughters, Susan Peoples of California, Barbara (Richard) Hebrank of North Carolina, Anne (Barry) Harris of Oregon, and Frances (Ron) Feltner of Indiana; two sons, David (Susan) Lehrer of Munroe Falls, OH and Stephen (Susan) Lehrer of Idaho; 17 loving grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Gerry is preceded in death by her brother, Frank Kotora.
A memorial service to honor Gerry's life will be held Sunday, January 10, 2016 at 12:30 pm at Grace Episcopal Church, 315 Wayne Street, Sandusky with Rev. Jan Smith Wood presiding. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
