Gladys A. Ringholz, 95, passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2016 in her home.
She was born in Perrysburg, Ohio, on February 8, 1920 to the late Evan and Ada (Morgan) Gabb.
Gladys was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Norwalk and had been a local area resident for over 70 years. She enjoyed shopping, collecting antiques, and acquired an extensive collection of dolls. Gladys graduated from Bowling Green State University with a degree in education, and taught in many local school districts from 1964 through 1989, at Monroeville, Greenwich, New Haven, and Norwalk, including Benedict and Maplehurst Schools.
She is survived by her children, Carol Shaffoe, of Milan, Ohio, Dave (Marie) Ringholz, of Albany, Georgia, Bob (Karen) Ringholz, of Spring, Texas, Kathy (Brian) Meagrow, of Milan, Ohio, and by her sisters in law, Alice and Joan Ringholz.
She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Gladys is preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, Carl G. Ringholz, by her brothers, Ernest and Harold Gabb, by her sister Dorothy "Dolly" Decker, and her son-in-law, Thom Shaffoe.
Friends may call on Wednesday, January 13, 2016, from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 W. Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Services will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2016, in the First Presbyterian Church of Norwalk, 21 Firelands Blvd., Norwalk, Ohio 44857, at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Adrian Doll will officiate.
