Roger F. Burton, 78, residing in Castalia, passed away Thursday afternoon, January 14, 2016 at Stein Hospice Care Center after a lengthy illness.
Roger was born on March 4, 1937 in Winchester, KY to the late Charles and Edna (Allen) Burton.
Roger retired from the Ford Motor Company after 45 years of service. He was a proud member of the UAW. In his spare time, he enjoyed sitting outside and enjoying nature, he loved animals, he liked going to estate sales and different auctions, and spending time with his family.
Roger is survived by his wife, Yvonne (Slone) Burton, whom he married on September 7, 1957. He is also survived by his daughter, Justine (Dean Kulwicki) Burton of Wakeman; son, Regan (SauYun) Burton of Whitehouse; four grandchildren, Jocelyn, Joseph Roger, Rachel and Megan; one great-grandchild, Case and several other relatives.
In addition to his parents, Roger is preceded in death by his step-father, Steve Richardson.
Friends may call on Monday, January 18, 2016 from 11:00 am until the time of funeral services at 1:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory Huron Chapel, 2602 Bogart Rd, Huron. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
