Helen Anita (Lewis) Robinson

Helen Anita (Lewis) Robinson, 82, 1508 Pearl St., Sandusky, passed away early Thursday morning, January 14, 2016 in Firelands Regional Medical Center following a lengthy illness.

She was born May 29, 1933 in Pine Grove, GA and attended Pine Log, Georgia Public Schools.

Some of her fondest memories were of being associated with the family of Laurence A. Bettcher, whom she had been employed by for over 25 years as a household manager. She also had been formerly employed by Franketti's Restaurant. She loved cooking, catering, reading, gardening, but most of all she loved the company of family and friends.

She is survived by two daughters, Anita (Dean) Eberhard, of Dewitt, Michigan and Sheryl Seavers, of Sandusky; son, Gerald Robinson, of Sandusky; "son like" nephew, Isaiah R. "June Bugzy" Hill; four grandsons, Shansa Seavers and Eddie Wimbly, both of Sandusky, and Connor and Cailin Eberhard, both of Dewitt, Michigan; one granddaughter, Ashley Jones, of Dewitt, Michigan; two great-grandsons, Douglas Seavers and J'mier Wimbley; one great-granddaughter, Tiana Wiese; one sister and one brother, Frances Johnson and Samuel W. (Gloria) Lewis Sr., both of Sandusky; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives; and special friends, Jim Irby, Ernestine Davis, Stella Durr Brown, Marjorie Anderson, and Phyllis Williams.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry J. Lewis and Berta M. (Jones) Lewis; two sisters, Sarah Jenease Hyatt and Katherine Louise Lewis; and brothers, Lish Andrew Lewis, Charles Ezell Lewis, and Joe Lewis (in infancy).

Friends may call on Friday, January 22, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Private services will be conducted.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Helen's name to the family.
