Amanda Marie Martinez Fox, 34, of Sandusky, passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, January 18, 2016.
She was born on January 21, 1981 in Walnut Creek, CA. Amanda lived in Livermore, CA before moving to Sandusky at the age of 14.
She went on to graduate from Sandusky High School in 1999, also graduating from the culinary arts program.
Her love of cooking endured, and she was currently employed at Ryan's Steakhouse, and formerly employed by Pier 684, Max & Erma's, and Damon's.
Amanda loved spending time with her family and friends. She had a caregiver's soul, and was always reaching out to help others. Regardless of circumstance, she remained positive and spread her positivity with everyone she knew.
Amanda is survived by her soul mate, Jacob C. Fox, to whom she was to be married; father, Jimmy (wife, Dawn) Martinez; children, Pearl Sci Martinez and James Wyatt Fox; sister, Jamie Patricia (Martinez) (husband, Michael) Carpenter; half-sister, Monica Martinez; half-brother, Brian Martinez; grandmothers, Christina Martinez and Rowene "Penny" Pooch; aunts and uncles, Roberta Dunn, Rondetta Trammell, Melondy (husband, Denny) Wright, Michelle Harrison, Robert Pooch, Anita Bowe, and Tandy Heredia; parents-in-law, Sam and Betty Fox; sisters-in-law, Melissa and Angela Fox; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Marie (Pooch) Martinez; sister, Olivia Martinez; grandfathers, Robert J. Pooch, Sr. and Sabino Martinez; and cousin, Officer Andrew Dunn.
Friends may call on Monday, January 25, 2016 from 11 A.M. until time of funeral services at 12 (Noon) at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Cremation will follow, and Amanda will return to California where services and interment will be at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Amanda's name to the funeral home.
